Default Hesitation under throttle

My '95 GSR has started to hesitate under throttle, unless I mash the throttle, then it runs right. But this usually occurs after I've been driving the car for a while, leave the car for 30min-2 hrs, get back in and drive. It takes it a few miles to even out and then it does not do it any more. It also only does it under moderate throttle or cruising speeds.

I think it is the TPS sensor, O2 sensor, or the engine temp sensor, I'm not quite sure. I replaced the spark plugs, but did not replace the cap and rotor. The engine has about 63k miles so I'm not sure what is causing the hesitation.

Thanks for you assistance!

Ok, I do not think it is the TPS sensor, the engine idles fines. I'm focusing more on the O2 sensor now as the main cause. We'll see what happens when I change it.

Please help if any! ;(

Clogged fuel filter can cause hesitation. O2 sensor could be bad like you stated, or an exhaust leak before your O2 sensor could be giving the signal that its running lean when its not, thus dumping more fuel into the motor.

Yeah, I'm really starting to think it's a bad O2 sensor because the engine has been burning a bit of oil for some time which could cause damage to the sensor over time.

Calibrate or at least check the tps voltage its easy and it will let you know if thats the problem if its on point then chec the iat sensor and also the iacv sensor behind the intake manifold, then look into the fuel filter then injectors ect..

I replaced the O2 sensor and what a difference! But the real problem turned out to be a lose connection in the wiring. All appears to be running good now.
