I know theres a thread on this already, but I didnt understand everything. I need help ASAP! Im good with wiring, but I dont know much about the conversion...

I know that if I get the 96-98 EX floor harness & door harness, its all plug n play. I did NOT know that at the time I bought my doors & all that. Which sucks.

So heres what I got. 1997 Honda Civic DX. I just bought 00 Civic si doors complete, but with no door panel or switches, but I have the 00 civic si door harness, and I also have the 00 Civic si floor harness. Not a whole lot plugs into my fuse box with this 00 civic si floor harness, and I would like to try & stay away from having to buy all new wiring. Is there ANY way possible for me to make this conversion work on my 97 DX with the 00 civic si wiring harness? I dont mind cutting wires and re-connecting things, as long as it will work in the end.

I dont want power locks, so I dont need to wire that in at all. & I dont care too much about power windows at this time, I just need to get my windows to roll up and down. ANYTHING HELPS! thank you!

 

I think it would make sense if I...Took my floor harnest thats for my 97 DX, and then combined the 99-00 Civic si floor harnest. That way I would still have all the male & female connectors off my 97 harnest so that it would still work with my fuse box that I have in my car, but then I could just hack up the SI harnest and wire it into my 97 DX harnest, as long as the wires all met up correctly.

Example...I would take the power wire from the Si door for window, and sader it into a power wire in my DX harnest.

make sense? Im trying my best. I think it would take alot of time and patients to do this, but I dont see why it wouldnt work. And I plan to strip most of my interior to fit a roll cage in the car, so no door panels will be going into this car. So all I really need is to wire up a custom switch that I can buy from shucks for a few bucks, and make it work with the window so that I can roll it up and down. Im talking VERY simple wiring. I dont need anything fancey. ANYTHING WILL HELP!

So basically, i want to make my own wiring harnest for the si doors and window, and combine it with parts off my DX harnest. I dont need all the bells and whistles, just need my windows to roll up and down.
