I think they will test it again once they get the timing belt on and the car running...

i thought it was 10psi was acceptable, rather than 10%... i mean your car will still work... but it would be unsuitable for nos, thats for sure...

Those are a hell of a lot lower than mine. Test it when your engine is still warm, that's when you are supossed to do it. I got: 225, 225, 230, 235 last time I did it. Stock compression.

Probably
But my H22 runs strong. Since my car is totalled I'll be pulling the motor and rebuilding it for NA, then I can check.

those high compression numbers have to be from a jdm motor,i used to have one and they were well within that range.A usdm,10.0:1 compression one should be around 200-210 or so.

Its a USDM H22A1. My friend did a compression test on his 94 B18C1 the same day and got numbers in the 230 range too, stock compression. Are you guys cranking the motor over and over until the compression reading STOPS going up? If not, then that could explain the difference. Plus do it when your engine isn't dead cold.

Well ive just come back from the dyno, and before I put the lude on the rollers, I asked them to check compression...

Numbers came back as 260-265!!!

He asked me what compression the engine is at he said those numbers are what he'd expect from an 11:1 compression engine, whereas mines only supposed to be 10:6:1

Car is JDM VTEC

Just had my VAFC set up on the rollers, gained 10.6 bhp peak!
Well chuffed..

Mods are Kakimoto racing catback

Home made CAI

VAFC.

Leads and plugs

Base run was 170.2 whp @ 6979,

Came out with 181.8 @ 7102

Have you done a dry test ??

I'd guess .. 30 psi down from your 'wet test'... but I could be wrong
