B18c5 missing on #3 cylinder
motor- 01 b18c5
car- 97 civic hb dx
ecu- chipped p28 itr map
the motor is from an 01 type R that flipped over and was running fine prior to the accident. it just had a valve job about a month before the car was wrecked. after getting the motor into my car when i started it up it sounded like it was missing and the motor was shaking a little at low rpm. after rechecking everything i did. i decided to pull the plugs, they looked fine except #3 it had a small amount of dark oil on it. when i looked down in the spark plug hole the top of the piston looks wet and black and when the motor is running and i pull the plug wire off of cyl 3 there is no change in the way the motor runs. I am next going to do a compression test but im already pretty sure its #3. where do I go from here should I just start taking the head off or what?

i would check the rotor and cap first, then the wire after the plug. leakdown test. a compression test is useless compared to a leakdown test.
