Icon2 Working on a Custom Headliner

So guys, I'm working on a custom headliner for my EP as well as center console to match. I was wondering if any of you have either done this before or have any insight on how to get the sunroof cover out. I think I might have to drop the back part of the sunroof or something but I'd rather not. Is there any other way?

Just so you know, I'm doing all stickers that I bought from Zumiez haha. I'm making a collage out of DGK, Obey, Grenade, GIRL, etc, sticker sets haha. It will look dope and I'll def. have some pics up as soon as I can finish, don't worry

Soo...your new headliner will be a sticker collage?

Anyway, CHAD on ephatch.com made his headliner out of black suede material (almost matches the seats) and it looks AMAZING.

Yep, if you've ever seen those people with their bumpers completely covered with stickers, it's kinda like that but above your head lol. It's different I know, that's what I'm going for... oh and thanks for the reference guy.

So how are you going to make the stickers stick? Are you going to make a vinyl cover first, and then cover it with stickers?

I've seen the bumpers like you're saying, so I have an idea of how it will turn out

No biggie, don't ask why but I have an extra headliner to test out on anyway. Just in case it does look gross I can just take it down and toss it.

Exactly what I was going to do. I've found this stuff that has one fabric or whatever side and the other side of it is kind of like a vinyl. So I'll spray the adhesive on the fabric side and put the stickers on the vinyl surface.

I know at first it's going to look a little weird but whatever. I want to try something out of the ordinary so why not, seeing how I have and extra headliner and all lol.

Nice, go for it. I like seeing different/unique stuff, just not on my own car lol

If you have the headliner ripped out, some people cut the sunroof wire which makes it stop halfway so that you can just hold the button down and close the sunroof all at once (if that makes sense). I don't mind the half-way stopping point so I just left mine alone. There's an article on ephatch about it.
