Gauge Cluster Help!
ok before anyone says anything. I HAVE searched! and my problem is different then the results i have aquired through the search. I understand that if you have a 94-97 cluster or 98-01 cluster you need to swap the green film for the cluster to interchange but MY dilemma is:
I have a 98 GS and I do NOT have my original cluster. I purchased a 01 GSR cluster and when i plugged it in. the gas gauge goes ALL the way past Full. and my signal lights stay dimly lit and when i signal my speedo bounces up and down ALSO my cruise control light stays on... SO gurus please help!!!
are 98-01 clusters interchangeable between trims? GS to GSR? i have found that alot of people say their gas gauges do not work when they go from 94-97 to 98-01 but from 98 - 01 should work correct?

Cluster shouldn't be reacting the way you are describing when throwing on a gsr cluster. I have downgraded to an LS cluster from a GSR temporarily and there was no issues when doing so.
Why dont you have the original cluster in the first place?

i purchased the car (98gs) and the previous owner put a 96 ls cluster in it. (no clue why) so i purchased the car with the fuel gauge not working and the abs light reacting. but i understood the reason being the cluster.
SO i purchased the 01 gsr cluster thinking it would fix the problem but NOPE. i hate integras!!! lol im thinking i have a short somewhere. it shouldnt be the fuel sending unit correct?
