it doesnt matter if its for a manual or auto.

Do you have the d16y7 or d16y8?

i think the dx comes with the y7. The y8 intake will not be able to fit on the y7 intake manifold. you need one for a d16y7. unless you change out the intake manifold.

The throttle body is on the top of the manifold with the DX (D16Y7), and faces out towards the right side of the car (passenger side) with the EX (D16Y8). So you need one specifically for the '96-'00 CX/DX/LX,

If you have a Y7 manifold a cold air is a waste. The d16y7 doesn't really respond to bolt-ons. the manifold doesn't breathe well so it's a waste of money. I have a stock airbox for the y7 if you're interested.

If you have a dx, you will need an intake with like a 100 degree bend to go down into the manifold. since it flows so poorly, a cold air intake barely cools the incoming air and so there is practically no power gain. The only difference you will notice is the sound it makes, which isn't bad actually, that and it will bog down when you floor it.
