I have JDM ITR Transmission that came with my ITR swap. Well the transmission grinds at high RPM in 2nd and 4th gear. And occationally reverse will pop out when in use.
Well I've rebuilt a few transmissions, so I know my way around.
Well, anyways I opened this tranny up the other day and noticed that the dog teeth on the gear 2nd and 4th have wear on them but doesn't look "too bad". I've never rebuilt a tranny that had this amount of wear.
The question is How bad is bad? I mean can use still use the a gear if it has wear on it after replacing the synchro's and sleeve too? Is there a way to know if it still usable and will not cause grinding?
Thanks for any info.

No.
Take pics and post them.
If the dog teeth on the gears are rounded, replace the gears. If the teeth on the sliders are rounded or the hubs are scratched, replace the sleeve set.
