Default nitrous on stock LS high mileage. too risky?

have a bone stock '97 integra LS auto with 155k miles
my friend is selling his zex kit for $120

would my motor be able to handle a 35shot? its my only car, so i couldnt afford for it to be down if i hurt motor, but being such a small amount i would like to know if it would be fine, or too risky.

and what would be first to get hurt? conveter? intake valves? ringlands?

piston shatter all to hell, sending pieces upward and fuken up the vavles and head..instant ventilated blocked with oil everywhere. That just some of the things that could happen. It being your only car, i wouldnt do nothing like that except rims and intake, exhaust and header.

Leave nitrous for the track, its not for street use unless built, but then again track use please! I agree with above^^^^

Before my swap I had 220,000 on my stock ls. Used the ZEX kit 50 shot for about 2 months, never hurt my motor. Fun to play with, but if ur not built for nitrous, eventually it WILL go boom. I just had one of strong motors that held up.

if you can't afford it after it blows, why take that chance? Its like giving steriods to a grandma... LOL, that granny is going to die trying to lift 50 pounds! Not a good idea unless your willing pay if something were to go wrong, and it can get expensive and fast.

We put a 75 shot on a 217,000 mile B17 motor and it lasted for the longest time. The car was sold and is still runnin like a champ from what I heard last, and that was 2 yrs ago..

Nitrous doesnt make motors go "BOOM" unless they have a nitrous backfire.. If anything it'll fry the rings depending on what shot your runnin and how well you maintain your motor. The more you keep you motor maintained the longer it lasts

a 35 shot i am pretty sure, won't hurt anything. might wear out the rings a little sooner, but as far as blowing up, i find very doubtful. but thats just me.

well, im only asking her to lift 35pounds.

i'll put nozzle way down by the intake filter too. so it will really only be maybe 15-20 whp.
i decided to buy kit. with that low of a shot, i wont need to upgrade anything right? as far as fuel pump, fuel reg? fmu? timing?

dude a 35 shot will be ok for ya motor as long as you get it tuned.. my friend ran a 75 shot on his 250,000 ls motor daily driver. then turboed the motor till the head gasket blew. yes a 35 shot is ok and safe with a tune .

here is what normal people do if they have a highmileage motor,

1)they stop pushing harder on the pedal, less revs, higher gears, less races

2)highmileage oil or maybe even synthetic.

3)maintenence!

4)more frequent maintence and oil changes

and what they dont do is race, race, race, nos and **** it up!

sorry that my own and any logical persons way of threating there motor whether its a honda or not.

remember what nos does it makes power=more pressure, its super cold and cold being burst onto something hot cant mean good either!

I never had a problem on my 94 integra ls with 144k on it with a 75 shot. And I used to go through a bottle just on the weekends. You do need to add fuel for a proper mixture. Nitrous is like a "liquid turbo". With a proper tune, and fuel management, youll never have a problem

Nitrous is hooked up! using toggle switch to activate, i flip it off inbetween shifts, pretty fun. definetely added quite a bit low end torque.

I called Zex and they said a 55shot and lower will not require any re-tune. if anything a stronger full pump, so i got a 255walbro on the way..

racing at the track tonight.. lol

im interested to see what my 60'ft. will be. the gears are SOOO long i can get away with spraying in 1st without spinning, it just hooks up way good

Im telling you heat that bottle to about 900 psi and you will pullll
Its ridiculous I run a 100 shot with no tune direct port and two high flow 255 fuel pumps I make money on all those kids that have their mommy and daddy buy them evo's srt's and sti's, juice is goo0000D!
