This is on my 93 4DR EX W/JDM D15B. Let me start by saying that this only happens after it's been warmed up. Drives fine, stopped at the gas station then crank, crank, crank, wont start....waited about 15 minutes, fired right up and ran fine all the way home. Then turned it off and crank, crank, crank again. Finally got it started after about 15 minutes and checked timing, dead on. Tried swapping distributor, twice, I have 3 of them and still same thing. Tried different plug wires, same thing. Tried different plugs, same thing. WTF is going on? Is there a chance the relay for the ignition is getting hot and causing this? I am out of ideas, please let me know what your thoughts are on this problem.
Thanks,
Tim
Thanks,
Tim
Sounds like a bad main relay. When the engine won't start, turn the key to ON(II). If you don't hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds, then the main relay is probably bad. Is the CEL ON?
