Icon2 D16y8 loud tick around 2000- 5000 rpm

I have a loud tick from what sounds like the head at around 2000-5000 rpm. Recently got the motor with around 100,000 miles or more not sure and it has been ticking sence I put it in but it seems to have got worse. Think it just might need a valve ajustment......Any ideas??????

Are you sure the ticking is not coming from the block?

You can feel slight vibration in the middle of valve cover when reving the motor,
