cold engine problem
recently when i start my car up in the morning when its cold it will start up and run for a few seconds then the idle drops and stalls. if i press the gas it also stalls out until it warms up a little bit. any ideas of why this could happen? ive been using shell vpower gas.
is the car feeling a little sluggish ? and how cold is the temp (air) in the a.m.? i had a very similar problem this past winter with my dx, every morning the car would start and after about 1-2 mins of warming up (at idle) the car would lope once or twice and then it would stall out!.....my problem was in my distributor....... not saying that is what your problem is,i would start with the fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, plug wires..........then the distributor!
well im down in florida so its not that cold. maybe 70s? prob not even that cool. just when the engine is a outside temp and i start it up it struggles little but once its warmed up its fine.
