Default help please?

okay, my car is bi-polar as ****. heres the dilio. i can drive the car normal w.e but sometimes i guess the timing goes bad, and it studders like a mother ****er. to the point that my car wont move. i thought it was a sparking problem, so i changed the spark plugs (they were blackkkkk) and the spark plug cables. still no fix.

also sometimes ill be driving, itll be sluggish, and then out of no where i guess it gets a good spark and my car kicks back, like vtec i guess?? so i thought it was a vtec problem, unplugged the vtec cylanoid (excuse my spelling) and still the same problem.

i also got word that it might be a fuel problem? ive replaced my fuel filter so far, still no help. i also bought some fuel injector cleaner, i just need to wait for my next trip to the gas station to pour it in.

any ideas? please help. this is getting really annoying -_-

**edit*
its d16 v tec by the way.

well to start off read the stickies at the top of the thread
next is your car throwing any CELs? (check engine light) if so pull the code and go from there
my first guess would be to check your map sensor.. if you dont know how to do that go to google and find out how to test your map sensor and the wires to the map

and sorry to burst your bubble but "injector cleaner" the pour in the take stuff really doesnt work theres 2 ways to "correctly" clean injectors one is to take them out and put em in an injector cleaner machine wich then cycles cleaning solvent thru them as an injector pulse and also surves as a balance test but thats beisdes the point
and second is a process in wich you need to get the fuel pressure of your car get this special container put fuel and cleaner in it pull off the FPR vacuum line and hook the container up to "shop air" then run the car till the tank is empty and that cleans your injectors valves and sometimes the top of the pistons

sorry about the title if a mod could change it to "help, 93 eg bad timing?"

yea, my cel is on. that was my next try, but i never found out how to check it your self untill i got here.

some one told me to switch around my map sensor and my tps sensor? any second opinions on that?

i also noticed today that when the problem gets really bad, if i shut off my car, and turn it back on it runs better. idk why but it worked for me, twice actually.
