Default crx door handle sticks in the up positon

my passenger side exterior door handle gets stuck up when opened and then when my passenger closes the door it doesn't latch. pretty embarassing when you go on a date and the door flies open. oh well she wasn't the rite one or she would have been wearing her seatbelt lol jk
anyways anyone know how to fix this i imagine all it needs is some lube somewhere. thanks in advance

Check to see if the spring is still intact. Also check to see if the return is broken.

You might want to have an extra door handle on hand if you're going to the trouble of opening it up, you should be able to just swap out the spring and retain your original locks.
