Default CEL tech help, no comments just tech please

i have a 1990 civic si OBD-0that has a d15b7 i swap into it temporarily for DD use while i save money for a B series swap. but anyways to the tech, i have a check engine light that comes on after a good amount of time driving like 20min or more, but then there are times that it doesn't come on. now i can't seem to pull a code due to the fact that the CEL doesn't come on when i start or turn the car over etc etc, it takes driving time. im thinking its a bad O2 sensor, but im wondering if i might be running a little rich, so im thinking of adjusting my timing with the rotor in the dizzy just to double check. or if someone knows how to pull a code when theres no CEL would b great. also the O2 sensor is the single wire plug. thanks everyone

the cel is stored in the ecu as long as the cel light came on once it will still flash even when its off so as long as you havent reset the ecu it will still be there. it sounds like the o2 though.

Pull the carpet away from the passenger side compartment, then you will see the COVER to the ECU. There is a little viewing hole. Count the codes and post the amount up. That should get you a FASTER response if you have some codes. DCRB and I have dealt with a lot of codes on his hatch, so we can help out
