EP3 & RSX-S: Identical air intakes?
Quick question: Can anyone verify if the intake (box, tube, or both) are the same between the EP3 and the RSX-S? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I need to figure this out tonight as I need a repalcement asap. Thanks!
well same manifold but engine bay is a little different... if I was a guessing man I'd say yes... but at the same time I'm just not sure....
try searching CRSX they respond hella fast

Reason I was asking was because I wanted to order Mishimoto intake for the rsx-S and wanted to know if it'll fit. I ended up ordering it, I'll do the install and a full review soon for anyone that's curious.
They're the same. RSX-S usually uses larger diameter piping. Like my EP3 spec AEM SRI is 2.5in diameter and the one for the RSX is 3in diamter piping. As far as fitment, they're the same.

actually its the other way around.. the aftermarkets will fit fine.. but the stock ones are slighly different due to the fact that the IM on the RSX is diff... the one on the EP is more horizontal.. the one in the rsx base is diagonal.. so maybe for the type S its the same but for the base RSX its def different. i know because im rocking a base rsx stock airbox and it doesnt quite fit.. had to extend the part that goes to the TB and then the breathers dont fit right
Well, the Hayame doesn't mess with the intake tube at all, it just replaced the box. I'm hoping there'll be enough give in the system to make it work. If not, I'll just put it up for sale and an RSX owner can use it. Thanks for the help guys.
^^You're correct but the intake I'm using (Mishimoto) only replaces the intake box, not the tube. As long as the two boxes (rsx and EP3) are in roughly the same location, I think I should be fine. This is what it looks like:
