Default New to S2000 and would like help please?

Dont really know where to start with this....

I have always loved Hondas but never owned one, I read this forum every day ffs lmao
Currently I drive an R33 GTR V-spec running 450/415

which is cool but I fancy a change!

I am used to building 2.0 turbo'd motors which I find easy nowdays, stuff like these

My current 463bhp track car

Im wanting to build a turbo S2000 but dont really know where to start with what cars can handle what power? trans etc? starting with stock motor and then build sometime? is there a 2.0 and a 2.2 ? would this be a good base?
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1112024.htm
Looking to spend up to 10k on a base car and then work from there with doing the turbo conversion.
All the work/fab will be done myself including the tune/mani so any help with what to avoid would be great! Cheers

00-03 is the AP1 with a 2.0 liter and a 9k rpm redline
04-09 is the AP2 with a 2.2 liter and an 8k redline

Have heard that it doesn't make much of a difference which one you turbo they end up with similar hp, but for $10k you will most likely be buying an AP1

Well there is allot to consider when going turbo. What exactly are your goals for the car? That is the first question you are going to want to answer. After that, a goal on what you would be willing to spend will help.

There are people who have been pushing upwards of 500HP on 100% stock blocks. You start to run into trans issues around this power. The stock diff is usually the first weak point that needs to be addressed. Other then the factory clutch of course.

That corsa is insane!! which can also be said about your 33!! very nice cars!!

Yeah it has been proven that the block can take a good 500whp in stock form... any more and i think it is time to get low comp pistons and sleeves etc etc... It just depends how far you want to go with this... The major problem with UK, JDM etc cars is the fact that the steering shaft goes straight through where the Americans put their gigantic snails so the room is a minimum...

MaseEngineering have developed a RHD kit for the s2k which takes the runners forward of the engine and places the turbocharger there then the outlet from the turbo runs back over the top of the exhaust and down and out near the transmission like normal... Also Oil cooler is a priority once turbocharged... but you know all about that

If you can't find them I will have a search for you... but there is one guy that lives near you I think that has a MaseEngineering kit installed (shipped his car to america and took him a year and a half :s) if you fancy having a look... just search s2ki.com
