Building a S2000
Sup all, I have a few questions.
My friend is outta the army and he just bought him a S2000, and he wants 600whp on a daily driven S2000, so what would he have to do? Couldnt he rebuild the motor up to 600whp or 500whp then spray and get a turbo kit, and run Hondata, and just tune the turbo and tune the Hondata? cause my whp is 390whp and max 400whp.
So what would he have to do?

it can be done, evolution autosports here in VA built a 505whp S2000. Evolution does some amazing stuff. http://www.evolutionautosports.com
Daily Driven 600whp, thats funnier then it is realistic. You sure he came from the army and not the set of 2fast2furious? If he wants that kinda power, sell the S get a 93-97 supra or maybe even a SRT-4

Almost true with all cars, cept those 100k+ exotics. A LOT of cars/motors can hit 600whp, but streetable? Highly doubtful.

As I read this I see a lot of it can’t happen I think it could be done. If you go to the forced induction forum you will find a ton of 400hp cars and every day there are more and more 500hp cars. So with enough boost I think it could happen.
I think with the right amount of money, parts, time, and somebody that knows what there doing it could be done.

it can be done but after spending that amount of $$$ and time on it, your friend that "he just bought himself an s2000" is better off selling his s2000 and using the money he was going to invest in the car $20k+ in parts and tuning + the money he gets from selling the car to buy something that doesn't require the modification the s2000 will need to see those hp#s.

it can be done, takes alot of money, but its silly for a goal of 600hp daily driven ... why 600hp and not 300hp ? has he ever driven a car with alot of hp on the street ? I don;t think he has or he would realize there is not fun past 350whp cause there is sever traction issues ... I've done it at 500whp and not only was it dangerous in the streets with street drags but no joy unless I turned down the boost to a mellow 300hp or so where I can at least enjoy it with a little traction.

600 whp and daily driven don't even belong in the same sentence. For all of those saying it is possible for 600 whp..it is, but not on a day to day basis for several thousand miles. It's a great goal if he wants a show pony, but for real excitement just slap on a comptech supercharger, beef up the rear end and spend all of that saved dinero on some kick @$$ track time. Just my 0.02

-Or buy a wrecked or blown S and a LOT of cubic inches...ZO6 crate motor comes to mind....
Yes, tell yo friend who just got himsef the S2000 to look into a blower. 350 hp in a 2800 lb car than outhandles almost anything else on the road goes a LONG way....
For more info on 500 hp turbo install, contact Evolution Motorsports. (That was not meant as a plug, I swear)They have dont nothing for me, personally.

An S with 350 HP is a whole lotta fun. You can quote me on that since I have one.
I just got back from a track day with a bunch of other Ss and it's a gas to zip past them on the straights.
