Default 00 Civic - No Spark, No Start.

Ok Guys Here's The Rundown.

Within a two week period Ive:
Replaced Spark Plugs, Replaced Radiator

Replacing The Radiator Solved My Overheating Problem.

The Day I Installed The Radiator, I drove it Around To Test The Overheating - No Problems There, So I Stop by my moms To Help her With something.

As Soon as I Pull Up to her house, the Car Drops to less than 500rpms and the motor shakes extremely hard, then stops. So I restart the car -same thing happens.

So I Pull Spark Plugs 2 and 3 and there wells have a little water in them. No biggie right ? I Grab some towels, soak up the little water that was there, and let it dry out while I'm helping my Mom.

I go to leave, Now The Car Won't start at ALL.

Ive Tested:
Timing Belt - OK
Relays and Fuses - OK.
Battery - OK.
Compression - OK.
Spark at Spark Plugs - FAIL.
Fuel Getting where it needs to go - OK.

I Also Pulled the distro and checked for signs of burnouts, and the damn thing looks brand new !

After researching this ... I'm leaning toward Distributor has died. I'm the average working man, and dropping 200 bones for a distro right now would kill my pockets

Any Idea's to anything else it could be ? Im really hoping its something as simple as a lose wire or something :S

Also Forgot To Add This In ...

I Did Not Get a "Check Engine" Light when This Happened, But I think Im Supposed to have it come on, then Cut off after a second or two if I turn the car to the "ON" position and if everythings ok CEL - wise. This does not happen at all ...

CEL: Is fuse 25 under the dash blown? Is the CEL bulb blown?

No spark: With the key in ON(II), do you measure battery voltage at the BLK/YEL wire connected to the coil and ICM in the distributor? What voltage do you measure at the YEL/GRN wire attached to the ICM?

Code 6 won't cause a no-start.

Check voltages in the distributor.

Does the fuel pump prime?

Did you reinstall the plug wires in the correct firing order on the distributor cap?

Any new CEL codes?

Yep, The Fuel Pump Primes ... No New CEL Codes Though.

This is probably stupid of me to say without have changed out, but My wires did get jacked the hell up, seems as though the plastic boot fused with the plugs I had put in before all this happened ...

Im an idiot. lemme change my plugs and wires before I start asking more questions haha

this sounds exactly like what's going on with my friend's 200sx. i'm gonna guess it's your wires too because that's the only thing we haven't tried on his SR20DE.

actually, he was about to be stupid and sell the car for $1000. he's on his 3rd engine in it. 2 of them (including the one in it now) are JDM. I managed to talk him out of it by agreeing to help him fix it after he helps me fix mine, lol.

UPDATE.

WTF. Got the car started FINALLY.

Started it up and let it sit for a minute ... started overheating.

Added more coolant.

Overheating stopped.

Started car several more times. Even drove it around town !

Get back to the house, and went in the house. less than an hour later, the Motherlicker won't even think about starting.

Whats been replaced on car so far.

Radiator.
spark plugs.
spark plug wires.
Ignition coil.
Full Tank of Gas.

I know this thing will run. I drove it around after replacing the plugs and wires !

have you checked to see if the battery and alternator are good? get a volt meter and test the battery for around 12-14 volts with the car off... idk... lol.

i know you said the battery is ok, but you don't say how you checked that.

Oh, a Buddy of mine works at a custom car audio shop ...

he brought over some special tool [ I have no idea the name of it ] hooked it up to my battery, and it displayed the voltage coming out of the battery ... That tool looked mad expensive btw ... haha

Sounds like a bad Ignition Control Module.

Does the car crank and not start. Distributor. Mine was 400 bones don't feel bad. I had the shop do it cause you have to get it timed even if you put one on yourself.

Same issue got fuel and compression, but no spark. Spark plugs are new. Spark plug wires are good. I got 0 Volts off both of these wires on the cap.

BLK/YEL 0 Volts
YEL/GRN 0 Volts
