VTEC WIRE UP?!?!?! F20B
So i finally got everything on my swap running a 100 percent except for the vtec...
i checked for the f20b vtec wire up and couldnt find anything. so i was looking at the h22 swap how to and saw the vtec wire up for it...just wondering if it is the same in any way???
it is telling me to do the following
vtec soleniod: Pin A4
vtec pressure switch: Pin D6
knock sensor: Pin D3
Secondary Intake Soleniod: Pin A17
can someone tell me where the vtec pressure switch and the secondary intake solenoid is?
so far i only have the knock sensor and the vtec solenoid plugs (wires) i cant find the pressure switch nor the secondary intake

on some jdm motors there is no vtec pressure switch so you might not have one. if there isnt one there your basemap wont work unless you get a usdm vtec solinoid or get your p28 tuned.
and as for the iab's (a17) the p28 doesnt support iab so dont worry about that. take the black box off the motor and just plug the nipples on the intake manifold

can u explain to me what you mean by my basemap wont work???
i understand that it would be looking for it but is there a different basemap available or an ecu that will not look for it? basically an ecu or chip that is supposed to work like the vtec thats on the f20b?
the basemap wont work because there is no sensor telling the ecu that here is oil pressue...you would have to talk to your local tuner about that...i dont tune cars so i dont kno how they make it work with no oil pressue switch but they do...all i kno is your vtec will definatly not pop without that
like i said tho you could find a usdm solinoid with the pressuer switch and everything will work
if you can post pics of you swap instead of a cartoon pic i could tell you if you have the pressure swtch and are just over looking or if its not there at all

so i compared both the vtec's on my car and turns out the f20b is actually missing the sensor for the pressure switch. it instead has a bolt on it i guess they just plugged it up instead.
i am going to take off the bolt and throw in a pressure switch and make it run since the vtec solenoid looks 100 percent like the usdm one minus the switch for pressure

My obd2 f22b1 didn't have a oil pressure switch, but it had bolt instead. When i built it and had to run obd1 ecu, i had to get an oil pressure switch and plug it in there.
You can use the switch from any other honda, civic, integra, del sol, obd1 accords and stuff like that, and the plug is always the same for honda, if you don't have one extra, just cut one from another harness at a junkyard or something.
