Default idle problems after cleaning IACV -HELP-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OajDMYMnpVA

As you can see from the vid, I'm having a bit of an idle problem. The engine will not rev past 2000 rpm.

Here is how it all got started.....

When I'm running my a/c, My car will always stall when I take the car out of gear. Also, when I turn the a/c on RPM will drop from around 800-900 to nearly zero. After seaching threads, I found most people suggest cleaning the IACV.

I removed the IACV and huge amounts of dirty built up on it. I cleaned with Carb and Intake Cleaner. Here is where I think I made my mistake. I noticed a huge building of dirt in the intake so I sprayed some cleaner inside and wiped down with a shop cloth. I might have gotten some on the MAP sensor, but I'm not really sure.

Anybody know what I should do?

dude you screwed ur map. that sensor is very sensitive to solvents. make sure your iacv is still working all the orings were replaced clear the ecu memory. try a freinds "working"map sensor and see. even if the sensor is damaged it might not throw a CEL.

97 civic w/ b16a

I can drive the car until 2K rpms

I appear to have the following CELS:

7 TPS - throttle position sensor
10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor
14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve

with a 97 you need a scan tool to clear the codes other wise you have to fix teh problem and do the drive cycle..
tps isnt gonna make your car not go above 2k
iat wont either
and the iac might.. is your throttle opening all the way?
i would figure out why your pcm is throwing those codes and then fix it

and your map isnt going to make your car not go over 2k either
the reason your not going over 2k is because of your pcm its not letting the engine go over.. mostlikly a "limp-home" mode.. but it could be just not letting you cause a sensor or solenoid is messed up

IAT will if its not plugged back into the harness after reinstalling the IACV
