well i picked up a set and idk but i think i might try them to see how they look.
any one ever done it?

Interesting, looks like they had to use quite a few weights to balance that one...
If you're concerned about the ride, then don't get bigger wheels, which will mean shorter sidewalls on the tire size you'll want, which is 205/40-17. Shorter sidewalls don't help the ride. They also make the wheels more susceptible to damage from potholes. But if you like the look, go for it!

i just tryin to get opinion and maybe osme one who has done it to see how it looks i really want to find factory gm itr for it but i am not havein good luck around my way finding them
i feel that anything bigger than 16inch rims looks ungainly on the caR...almost like a hotwheels car IMO. plus isn't the type S rim pretty heavy too?

ya i am just tryin to decide what to put on it cuz i have nothing at all i passed on the TypeS wheels i did not want to go that big
Just buy any set of 16 inch rims and paint them black, and lower your car so that the front is slightly lower then the back.
This setup will give you the cleanest looking yellow type R you can get, and it makes the car look really aggressive.
