I think it could be the tps, or map sensor.

ok listen i haven't done anything to the car yet its a completely stock 1990 honda civic hatchback 4 spd. has 217k miles on it before i went to get an oil change it was runing fine and perfect but when i went to get the oil change it started runing funny and it kept lagging acceleration and i was smelling oil being burned so its not the car or anything i might be the dam engine. it's probably gone or something cause when i try to floor it it doesn't speed up quickly it runs slow as hell. and another thing if i was to purchase one of this d15b motors on this site will it fit right in cause i hear JDM engines have different stuff added on to there engines well you guys know better then me. oh yea its an OBD-0.

The d15 will bolt right up no problems. I would try and solve the problem to your engine, it could be a simple cheap fix. I know everyone is hurting for cash

yea i hear yah bro but if i can get a 300 dollar d15 with really low miles from the good old Japan importers then why not that suxer will last for years to come with no problem then further down the line i'll swap out the tranny for a 5 speed. and plus this motor has hhit 217k miles on it i mean **** the car drives it's really hard to kill the motor i've donw revved the living hell out of it and its still driving as if it has a burnt clutch.
