Where can I find a stock replacement muffler for a 99 Civic VP/DX besides the dealer or online dealer stores?

 

junkyard? autozone?

 

Hmm, don't feel like going to the junkyard and prefer if I can get a new muffler although a slightly used will work as well.

I tried Autozone but it doesn't have stock replacements. It only has universal fit performance muffler for which to work I think you will have to cut the catback pipe and weld the new one on there. I would prefer if I could just get a stock replacement so that I can simply bolt the new one in. This way I can do it myself and not spend money on mounting.

Go to any muffler shop and they should have one or can get one.

Also, will a stock EX muffler work on a VP/DX? I'm looking at a used one in the marketplace...

 

The muffler should be the same. I know the one on my friends EX looked just like the one on my DX.
