Just replaced my oil pan gasket on my 97ls and one of the 16 nuts for the pan will not go on past a certain point no matter how much pressure i put behind it. It will turn but will not lock down. And its leaking oil what shall i do?

 

SO heres what i did. I moved that nut from that side of the pan to the other side and switched with with another nut that went all the way up. So far its working. but the nut that wouldnt go all the way up is still doing the same. So im just going to replace that nut.

 

yeap just switch the nut..or try cleaning it

 

So long story short, nuts were over torqued. Had to go to autozone to get replacement ones now it all works.
