a/c stopped blowing cold
i have a b18b1 swap in my 92 civc dx....and the other day my a/c stopped blowin cold and my idle went higher than usual, i was sittin at a red light when my idle jumped from 800 to 1400 and my a/c started blowin warm...wat couldve possibly happened??
the cel has always been on because they took off the O2 sensor when they did the swap...and yes the light illuminates and the compressor comes on....but before when the compressor would come on my rpms would drop...it messed up yesterday and the rpms raise when the compressor comes on now
The RPM are suppose to move up about 200-300 rpm to counter the load on the engine when the A/C compressor comes on.
You might want to check that CEL and see if its related to the A/C system? I am not an expert but maybe one of the gurus can chime in?
Did you try recharging your AC?

Does the condenser fan also run when the A/C button is pushed?

You can supply power directly to the condenser fan by jumping the relay (BLK/YEL to BLU/BLK). If the fan runs, then the relay is probably bad. Just first verify that the WHT wire at the relay has battery voltage with the key in ON(II).
