I have a 94 gsr and here are just a few of the mods:

-11.5:1 compression
-I/H/E
-stock flywheel
-ACT clutch
-comp stg 1 cams
-aem adjustable cam gears
-tuned with crome dealer
-many more but they arent relevant

Here is my problem. When i try to start the car, it will crank but it will kick back every 1 second or so, then it will crank, then kick back, then crank, etc....you get the picture. Eventually, after about 15-30 seconds of cranking and kicking back, it will start.

Once started, everything is peachy, EXCEPT with a quick and hard blip of the throttle. It will miss/bog very bad till about 1800rpm, then its fine after that.

but as far as driving and WOT and everything, its fine, runs perfect!

what could cause this? Bad base timing? Ive been messing with it just a few minutes ago and ive tried 18* BTDC, 16* BTDC, 14* BTDC, and even around 10* BTDC,

please help me. I need to sell the car and cant if it wont reliably start.

and one more thing. It did this once before, so i pulled 6* of timing out of every single timing cell in crome and it fixed the starting problem but the car ran like ***. So about a week later i put the old chip back in that had the problems with starting, and it worked just fine....for about 4 months, now its doing it again.
