coilovers or lowering springs

Default coilovers or lowering springs

which would you think is doing less stress on stock struts or should i say would do less stress on 96-00 civic coupes?

It all depends on how low you go. And if you stay low. In essence they both do the same damage to shocks. I like to have coilovers because I live in a seasonal area. That way I can raise and lower as preferred.

around 2 in front and 1.5 in back

... In my honest opinion i believe that lowering springs have a better ride quality than coil overs.

my vote would be coilovers, because i have a heavy system in my car, as well as i live in wa where it rains almost year round and snows, so its good to be able to lift it up

but they both do damege to your shocks, if you were to go with something like tein s techs, which i wouldnt reccomend, i have noticed they dont really affect shocks that bad.
it all depends on how low and the spring rates.
but 2 inches is going to be kind of hard on stock shocks, 1.5 no so much

.... or you can buy what they call drop struts .. they are designed to use with lowering springs.

Yeah, to me coilovers are a really bouncy ride, when I had my lowering springs on my car it road a lot smoother, but coilovers you can raise it back up when needed.

I have Eibach springs and are less bouncy then my friends coilovers.
I say lowering springs if only dropping it 2inches.

iin my opinion springs have a better ride...but coils u can slam the **** out of ur car and raise it up wen needed...
