Alright i have a question to all you guys with hseries making 600plus hp, what size injectors are you running along with fuel setup at what psi and whats the duty cycle percent your at.

im running 255walbro intake, msd pusher pump outside tank all on -8lines on 1000cc precision injectors with resistor box. should this be fine for over 600hp ?

 

on gas you should be ok. If you never want to worry again...get injector dynamics 1000cc. good to over 800

 

im on mark 5 gas which is i believe 115 or 112

 

Just out of curiosity, why would brand x's 1000cc injectors support more horsepower than brand y's? 1000cc is 1000cc.....

 

once you use the Injector Dynamic injectors you will never want to use anything else ever again.

well there are different kinds of 1000cc...precision, RC, Injector dynamics...

Make sure you spend the money on Injector Dynamics 1000cc's. They are capable of what RC1600's are, and they tune much better and idle like stock. I went from RC 1000 (my car running like ***) to the Injector Dynamics 1000 and it idles nicely at 980 rpms at 565 whp on pump gas.

 

h22's generally consume more fuel. id grab the ID 1000's so you have the correct injector voltage comp values for the higher pressure you will need to run to achieve the power you want to make.

but to answer your question the 1000's with the 2nd pump and high pressure should get you the power you are looking for.


with out the second pump, 1000's will generally make low 500's at 40lb-50lb base and a 255 pump. every now and then you get a freak car that will make more, but its usually a car that is not reving very high.

 

thanks turbo-charged. im switching over to neptune rtp from running crome last year and cant remember how the duty cylce was but i keep hearing mixed feelings about h22's and how they consume alot more then a bseries , just was scared to go with the 1000's and find out i need bigger ones after. as for ideling the car ran like a dream before on these

 

I'm a distributor for them, so I'm well aware of their quality and linear performance. I'm just trying to figure out why someone would say that.

If I have a Bosch pump that flows 350 lb/hr at 100 psi, and a Weldon pump that flows 350 lb/hr at 100 psi, will one support more HP than the other? There are so many misconceptions about fuel systems, and it's so easy. I just don't get it.

 

the big thing on fuel pumps is what they do under boost. most pumps flow drops like crazy at higher fuel pressure. you would need to see your pumps flow rates at your max boost level + base.


a1000 for example is good for 1000hp at 40psi i think they rate it at, but throw 40lbs of boost into the mix and the flow is cut damn near in half.


there is so much crap out there that doesn't make sense or just isnt true. most people are only going to listen to what they want to hear anyways.



another thing to take into consideration is that flow rates have toooo many variables. back in the car stereo days...... remember how 1 600watt amp seemed to be twice as powerful as another brands 600watt amp lol same crap happens with these performance parts we buy

 

im using 1000cc RC injectors with -6 lines a intank walbro and an inline bosch 044 with base fuel pressure of 50psi i run 29psi and make just over 600whp

this on 92 octane pump and methanol, the meth is additanol fuel as well
