Relieving fuel pressure in 2000 Accord
I'm doing some work on my wife's accord and need to relieve the fuel pressure. The problem is, I can't relieve the pressure the way the Haynes manual says (disconnecting the wire to the fuel pump and running it until the car dies) because it won't start. There must be another way to relieve the fuel pressure. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

unscrew gas cap, and where the fuel line conencts to the fuel rail, you can loosen it with a 7/8" wrench if i remember right and this is a 4 cylinder right? are you pullin fuel pump?

he's right, remove the fuel damper and the line comes off. just wrap a rag around the damper before you break it loose.
but you don't need to do that to take off the head. unbolt the the intake manifold from the head and push it back against the firewall. it barely makes it but it will clear. Then you don't have to disconnect fuel lines, injectors, vacuum, IAC, etc. It makes the job much easier. I've had the head off my F23 3 times.
