Default b20 build

new to the honda scean, im workin with a b20 bottom and b16 head, 2 ?S would the type are cams work good with the set up and the dowl holes seem to be different any ideas ?? thanks again matt

Welcome to scene
There's is a lot of b20 vtec builds in this forum I suggest you start doing your homework and read all of them to get an idea

I'll chime in so I can acheive my post count, lol.

For what it's worth: The holes you speak of can be remedied by golden eagle dowel adapters or you can precision drill the holes to accept the larger dowels. might want to give golden eagle a call as they have a nice full adapter kit including head gasket etc. {endyn has some nice parts as well}

As far as camshafts you will be okay running the stock b16 cams for now until you brush up on a game plan (built motor, high compression, all out build, etc...) (goals!?)

Finally If you search "how to build a b20vtec" You should find a helpful article written by Bam-bam, I think.

well this is gunna be my daily drivier nice coupe i picked up for 1000 , so the head i have will work i just have to order the kit ?

well got everthing else in today and was putting it toghter as i was putting the arp head studs in turns out the block threads are stripped, soo now looking for a short block. thanks guys for all your help and that write up is very nice.. btw any one have a b20 short block???pm me
