hi HT im new to this. and this is my first serious build and build thread. so lets se how it goes.

i got a 1990 si hatch for $400.









It came with all the parts and some extras so we laid it all out to make a list of what we had and needed, then while we did that we tagged and labled things to go into different labled totes to keep track of everything.









Then we swept it out with a shop vac.













after we cleaned it up a bit there was still dirt so i scrubbed at it and cleaned it real good then laid down some paint on the floor ,ect.. i will get pics of that tomorrow. but for now i think i had a good day working on it.

 

you plan on painting it soon ?

thanks i thought so too when i found it. yes it will be getting paint i already repainted the inside and bay it will get paint after i get done with the swap this weekend or so not to sure yet depends on the weather cuz i dont have a garage.

yes it is. just needed some a lil tlc.

h series, leave the drop on it now, add some nice wheels, and then throw on my build head drive it for a few weeks park it for winter, and work all winter and save up to buy some sleeves for some 12:1 compression. and go from there in spring.


ill post some more pictures of the progress made today hasnt been too much though as i am awaiting my engine hoist, so theres not much to do just quiet yet. so ill get some more when i go back out to work on it just taking a lil break right now.

Hopefully motor swapping this weekend. if the rain clears up. does anyone know if theres a DIY for a h-series altnator relocation bracket?

thanks, i have helped so a few d series and a ZC swap once. my friend has done b series, and i have a someone on speed dial who has done a few h series swaps before just in case we need help. haha.


i didnt get to do much work on the car today cuz of weather being crappy and trying to get everything around for the swap tomorrow morning. but tomorrow ill have some new pictures to update this with.

 

well its swapped everyone!!! not bad for my first non d-series swap ever. had fun doing it . only took about 4 housrs now it just needs a bit more work though.

yeah not right now it will be a couple months yet... its just going to have a built h23 head on it till after i park it for winter cuz i just need to have a car back on the road then this build will really take off about the first snow fall but i live in indiana and that will probbly be about november haha. so a few more months and it might have vtec then.

yes all motor for now and if im not happy with that ill go kseries or boost but problly kseries.


so.. today turned out to be a rainy day. and i dont have much to do today since the rain. so i want to take on the rewiring mess that i have to rewire because the whole harness for the car is hacked.

i have looked at them and labled them what i think they are but i just wanna make sure if i have the labled right and which part get wired to which part. anyone ever rewired a hacked harness before with sucess???

ill get pics if someone can help me out.

yeah. but who knows im used to mildly modded dseries so im sure ill be happy with a H for awhile lol.

okay thanks. if i can t figure it out i might just buy a chasebays, and a whole new body harness cuz mine are pretty hacked and its getting real frustrating.

 

i havent updated for awhile.

but tomorrow my axels and shifter assemblely gets picked up so i will have a few more pics along with some new interior stuff as well.
