Ride Report: Cleveland National Forest
July 10-11. I rode down to the Cleveland National Forest to camp at the Burnt Rancheria campsite since it has access to the Pacific Crest Trail. The campsite was OK but the people and their dogs made it a terrible experience. I don't think I'll camp at developed campgrounds during peak season again.
Day1:
About 5PM Friday, I pack the bike and get ready to leave from the office. My coworker put pink and purple streamers on the handle bars :D

I blast south along Interstate 5 and bypass traffic, quickly making it to San Diego. From there, I catch I-805 and then I-8. Exiting I-8, I pickup gas and a pint of beer in a little town called Pine Valley. Just up the way, I had to stop and take this picture:

I get to the campsite just in time to setup the tent and unpack the bike before dark. Dinner:

Day 2:
The neighboring campsite has an insane dachshund that started barking just before 6AM so I was forced to wake up.

A view of the campsite - no ****ing shade!

Since I got to the park so late, I went out in the morning to see what I missed:

I spent the rest of the day hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail but I won't bore you guys with those pictures
After the hike, I roll into town to pickup a burger and recharge. Actually I had to get away from the campsite before the dogs drove me mad.

When I got back to the campsite, I decided I couldn't take the yapping dogs, droning generators, and drunken bastards anymore so I packed up and rode home.
Hope you liked the ride

Ortega is so bad... even the Camp sites have Squids.(Is that farther south?)
I could have shown you a couple secret spots had I been there... no one else decided to come form IC?

i f*cking hate those fake campers. the folks that need all the comforts of home in their basic campsite... huge f*cking flood lights, generators, music, blah blah blah.
gimme a tent, a fire, some beer, and some f*cking meat on a stick! ****!
