Default Tire size question

Hey guys,

I know this is not the tire section but this section has the most experience and the tire section seems quiet...
I borrowed my friends Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial II, the size is: 205-50-15
here's a pic

Now I'm getting my own and I want to be sure the tire fits especially since I'm dropped. I'm getting them for a 14" rims,
Should I go with 205/50/14 (22 x 8.50R14)
or
Should I go with 215/60/14 (24 x 8.50R14)

can any one help me?

what car? how much power? what wheels are you using? mostly likely the 215/60 would be the better choice. but there are many things to consider, like wheel offset and clearance or how the two sizes may affect gearing.

more info please

This is for an integra (picture above) with 460whp and I will be putting them on steelies.
Got a gsr tranny, dropped on neuspeed sport 1.75" front

I put my friends slicks on a few days ago 24.5 on 15" rim and I chose not to run them because it was way to close to the fender. I had about 0.5" clearance and I was worried that when they balloon they'll rub.
So I assume that the 215 60 14 drag radials (24") will be ok since it will give me about 1" clearance total and they don't balloon like slicks.
Am I right to assume this and proceed with purchasing the bigger size?

Also my stock tire is 195-60-14 (23")

1" is better than .5" but you're still screwed. I have the exact same issue as you (430whp with a 1.75" drop) and to be honest you will roast 215's, why bother? You will run mid 13s at like 125mph lol. I have come to the conclusion I have to change my suspension to raise the car back up. That is the only way to get a tire that will hook to fit. You should be running 235/60-15s on the street and 24.5s at the track. Good luck
