Your ignition switch has a recall on it. I would check for a faulty ignition switch.

i have a 99 ex and it doesnt have immobilzer, and recall from the factory
do you have a green light in the cluster that looks like a key? if not you dont have HONDA IMMOBILIZER, you may have an aftermarket unit, i just cecked to be sure immobilzer wasnt on any crv untill 2002, you said you have a 98

the green key light used to come on but now it dnt come on at all.

i took it to honda and they said the immobiliser box on it is faulty. they want 350 quid for new immobiliser box red key and 2 spare keys.

if you say there is no immobiliser wat is causein the injectors not to open and close

it is a uk spec

the ecu is obdII but it uses all 4 plugs is this cause its an auto.

i know older ecu dnt ave immobiliser built in to ecu so could i change ecu to a obdI with a conversion harness. if so wat would b the best ecu to use

send the ecu to Katman, here on this board. he disables immo. on prelude ecu's. it should be the same since yours has the RED learning key as the prelude does.
