Whats up guys...I recently had my first experience with FWD LSD!!! I have a JDM ITR in my '96 EJ6...
I have a torn axle boot, so ive been taking it pretty easy on it, not launching at all. But the other night, i couldnt help it and gave it a go.....I launched at about 2500 rpms and had very minimal spin, but it could DEF take more....So last night, after thinking about my previous launch while driving home, i thought it wont hurt for another go....So i launched this time at about 3200-3400 and i was amazed at how fast it hooked up and i was gone....
Im running Kuhmo Escta's with a decent amount of tread left....
I have the '96 Spec so i have a 4.4 FD so im sure it will be different between FD's, but i was wondering where you guys feel your best launch range is??? I know there are different factors like which tires, and suspension and setup and stuff, but post up what FD you have, what chassis, and what range you like to launch at...

Depends totally on what kind of tires you have and what the track conditions are like. In general it's pretty hard on a car to be launching it all the time. I wouldn't advise hammering on it in first gear on the street although I think everyone (including me) does this once in a while. If you're at the track and you're wearing slicks you could launch at much higher RPM's. Most owners I've talked to at the track launch at about 2500 or 3k but you'll also notice that most owners at the track spin. I just gently feather the clutch and get on the gas until i feel traction and then press into the gas pedal and get off of the clutch. That's probably the best way to do it because there is no specific conditions that say you need to launch at X RPM.
Drop about 8-10 psi out of the front tires (if you don't have drag radials) and launch around 3K'ish. Don't forget to pump the tires back up on the way home.

oh im not talking about on the track....i would never bring this car to the track....and i baby the **** out of my car, ive had it on the road for a month and a half and hadnt launched once, ive barely gotten up to 100mph one or two times...so i had to try it just to see how it was.
...i never ever beat on the car so its not like im launching all the time. ( like i said these were the first and only two times )
