Default Spoon Sports PR3 b16a ecu

Hey guys, found this in my 89 CRX SiR today when i was putting all the interior back in.

Thing is, i dont really know anything about ecu's....from what i gather, you send this off to Spoon Sports and they send it back all remapped etc!?!

Can anyone tell me what "work" is done to these....does it remove rev limit and so on?

Thanks.

Dan.

You'd have to contact Spoon to find the details of the chip itself. If you take off the cover you'll likely find the chip is labelled.

Basically it's the same as any chipped ECU with a basemap... except in this case, it's Spoon's basemap. And chances are you won't be able to edit it or open it with BRE or TurboEdit.

Thank you for the reply.
I'll have a look inside tomorrow.

Was there various options from Spoon as to what you actually had in the "chip" base map?
I.e., the more you spend the more you get?
Or was it just catalogue type work?

Thanks.

Dan.
