Default gsr tran wont go into reverse

I cant get my car into reverse at all, it feels like a brick wall when I try. The trans shifts into every other gear perfectly with no grinds at any rpm. I just changed the trans fluid with honda manual trans fluid and that didnt help at all. I have no idea what the problem is. Its a 94 gsr making 360whp daily driven if that makes a difference.

Any help would be great. Thanx.

5th gear synchro sleeve is probably rounded over and won't let the sleeve move into reverse.

And no... trans fluid doesn't fix stuff like that.

So to fix it I have to pull the trans apart and replace the 5th gear synchro sleeve??

Didnt think the fluid change would fix it lol. Just thought I would add that i changed it.

Correct me if im wrong but wouldnt a rounded syncro sleeve happen from gradual wear over time? Cuz this happened all of the sudden, one day reverse worked perfectly the next it wouldnt go in at all.

Typically, it happens over time, but the ones that happen over time don't "mushroom" over and stick in the synchro hub - they just round over and the material ends up at the magnet. From what I've seen, "mushrooming" tends to happen quickly for various reasons. It doesn't take much. No matter what it is, you'll have to pull the trans and open it up in order to fix anything.
