need help with 2-STEP and SHIFT LIGHT
well i have a 95 civic coupe with a JDM b16 (g2) only bolt on is...CAI. Well i just put in a order for a chipped P28 ecu and they are sending me a form that i need to fill out that has where i want my 2 step and shift light oh yea and my vtec to kick. what RPM should i put all this stuff at...this is what leaning towards as of right now....
vtec-4400
shiftlight-8100
2step-3000
vtec-4400
shiftlight-8100
2step-3000
Shiftlight sounds good at 8100.
Vtec... Hmm, 4400 seems kinda early.
2Step @ 3000 is waay too early... its just going to fall on its face at that rpm.
i would put the 2 step a little closer to 5k then play with it to get the wheel spin JUST right on launch.

I know my setup was vastly different than yours but i had my 2-Step at 5000rpm...that was too early for me. I guess it depends on your setup, tires and application. That 5k 2step was good on the street, but not at the track...
na...no idea. im just telling the people what to set it at before they send it to me.
but thanks for the advice guys here is my conclusion...
vtec-4500
2step-4800
shiflight-8100
any other input is welcome.
Honestly... i'd have the 2step at 5000 or 5200... a b16 has little torque and can be launched at that rpm without blowing the tires off... you want a certain amount of wheelspin but not too much. also... why set vtec so low? why not leave it where it is stock. if you dont have all that much done to it... i'd just leave it where it is. its there for a reason.

^^^^^^^ yea thats sounds alright too. alot of folks have said 4500 VTEC is to low?? so i was thinking vtec at around 4750 and 2 step about 4900 or 5000. but was not sure if i am supposed to be in VTEC for the LAUNCH.
Vtec will not engauge with you just sitting still... You have to be going something like 8 mph before it can engauge, just one of the parameters that has to be met...
