quick qestion for everyone.. I hope you guys can help me out.. after i installed a foglight on my 92 civic. my rpm starts to bounce on idle and it gets worse when i turn the lights on.. i think i installed the wiring correctly? when i disconnect the brass tip from foglight switch going to the fuse box the rpm is normal again... anyone have a suggestion on whats going on?? is there another place where I can plug the brass tip without affecting the rpm? please help....

what fuse did you tie into and do you want to turn them on any time, with ignition, or with the parking lights

 

the kit i bought is from ebay so theres two sets of wires that came with the kit. first set wich is engine bay wires where i placed the red wire to the battery terminal then from there it goes to a 30amp fuse, then it goes to a relay, it then connects to the foglight then a wire to ground. the second set is ground, then a red wire connecting the two, from there it goes inside to the push button. from there 2 yellow wires connect to a brass female tip where i connected to option (d) wich is the second from the right plug i think thats for the lights. hope this gives you an overall idea on how i wired this thing..

usually i hook up my fogs like this

both fogs grounded

accessory wires spliced into one and pluged into brown one wire plug in engine bay by washer fluid resevoir

wire from underdash fuse box to switch , second from the right on top optional row of spots

from brown one wire plug underdash to relay then from relay to switch
