Default ls vtec, clicking noise

hey guys whats up my friend has a hatch with a ls vtec, skunk 2 stage 2 cams ans dual valve springs and valves the car has a clicking noise not so much at idle but when you rev it up a little and you can hear it when you decel, its deffinetly in the head and not a knock, just wondering if anybody has had this problem, I deffinetly appreciate any info anyone has on the subject.

have you heard of this before, I was thinking about that but now I am gonna check it, is there any difference in adjusting valves when you have bigger cams or is it still the same oe spec?

You will have to go with the Specs Skunk2 provide if I am not mistaking.

Just use the stock clearences specs. I have Stage 2's(full valve-train) in my head and had my machine shop install them(because I am lazy). He just went with the stock specs. And I rev up to 10k with boost. As for the noise, I had this happen to me in my ls-v. It actually ended up being the tension pulley. Is it on the timing(front) side or the tranny(back) side of the motor? Just make sure that you are doing the valve lash the right way, and that is an easy way to eliminate the possibility. GL.
