Default locking vtec

I am about to check my V2V clearances with my S2S3 cams but don't have any bb's to lock the vtec. What else can i use or how else can i lock vtec to check for this?

A really small washer that fits in the rocker arm piston bore will work. Basically anything you can fit in there that will push the pin out just a little bit.

I don't have any helper springs, can I use my supertech springs and do the V2V?

Instead of a BB you can simply swap the 2 pistons in the rocker arms. Put the small piston in the longer piston's pistons and vice versa. For springs, just use some worn out stock springs. Or just the inner supertech springs.

And to CC, I'll be sad to see you retire at the 10K post. A mod should wipe your post count out.

I would use a dummy spring for your measuring. You will have some precision tools under alot of tension if you use real valvesprings.
Match up an outer one and do a mock install. Measuring and turning will be alot easier.

Swapping the 2 rocker arm pistons works for me also!
Ive always wanted to try the pressurized air trick myself. Like a real life engine builder

As said before you can swap the pins to lock VTEC. I've also used rolled up wads of paper towel too.

Also if one is expecting to "retire" from a webforum and somehow duck the idiots on the internet then you'll have to "retire" your ISP too.

I used a small lock washer and it worked perfectly! Thanks everyone for your inputs.
