so i was driving today and my speedometer started moving up and down very rapidly. this is the first time that it has ever happened and i don't know what the problem could be. can anybody throw any ideas my way as to what might be wrong...thanks in advance

how involved is it in changing the vss sensor... and i just recently tightened up all of my ground wires, so do you still think it could be that?

 

Don't sweat it. mine does the same thing intermittently under light acceleration or cruise at between 42 and 52 mph. it won't hurt anything and the time it will take to figure it out to me isn't worth the effort. I've always figured it to be related to the speed sensor though, like it was toggling between two signal strengths or something.
