Si grill with si emblem?
Ha this is such a noob question, especially for someone that has been into ek's since 2003. Every once in a while I see a 99-00 si with the si emblem in the grill...I like this. I recently bought a em1 ( 2000 ) and there is no emblem in the grill...Where do I get a grill with the emblem, is it year specific? Do people buy the emblem and glue it there? Any help is appreciated as always. Thanks in advance.
Hmmmm that's funny because my em1 is a 2000 and it does not have the emblem. It was used so could it be possible it was removed? Who would remove such a clean looking tag? To shame!
most people just stick them on with GOOD double sided tape from my knowledge.. and most people use the 8th gen SI's badge.
Ah good information. I thought something like that. Can't I use the same one that's on the back of the trunk?
some 2000 SI's came with an OEM SI grill with teh SI badge on teh driver side. some people do stick it on, but that may be due to breaking the original, or swapping front ends and it didnt have it, or for some other reasoning.
they do come stock like that. I know that not all 99-00 SI's came like that though. I do know for certain its a factory piece

i have never seen an 99-00 si grill come with that emblem stock.. i need some proof.
yes, you need to order both pieces though, the inner grill and the outer shell. they do not come with an emblem.

I looked on the dealership site, I found there are gold emblem replacements, but I didnt find the grill anywhere, maybe Im not looking right.
Just to let you know, the reason Im thinking its an OEM piece is becuase almost every 2000 SI Ive ever seen has had those in the grill offset, and none of them looked any different. Ive seen 5 or 6 in person, and quite a few online. I actually was just browsing cardomain for it, and the 2 pages I saw had mods listed, and one of the 1996 civics I saw did the 99-00 front end swap and stated something along the lines as "OEM SI grill"

Hmmmmm...well since my car is actually an EM1 I'm going to ***outofUandME that it has the OEM grill. The EP3 idea given by yoontim23 seems to be a legitimate method.
well i have an OEM si grill which was purchased in December.

you have an OEM grill, they don't come with 'si' badges and never have. throw in an ep3 badge, or one from an 8th gen and call it a day. they come with adhesive on the back when you buy them, so there shouldn't be a problem mounting it.
