Default Camber Wear.

I just went to Big O Tire to get my alignment done because I was getting this nasty feather wear after I lower my CRX with the H&R lowering spring. After they finish it, the technician told me that he could not adjust the camber problem. The reading was (-4.4) left front and the (-3.3) right front and they told me it would cost $609 to get it fixed with the SPC (84955) camber kit. I know I’m not stupid to pay that price so I just paid the normal fee…

Now, I was doing my research and found some Ingalls front camber kit (anchor bolt) for good price. Anyone use this kit before? I know people mentioning to upgrade the whole upper control arm but this is my daily driver so I really don’t think it’s necessary… Any info will be grateful.

you dont need a camber kit as long as they set the toe to spec youll be fine. unless you got some big ol 17's with low profile tires its not a problem. i had a set of ingalls for the front but never put them on because my tires werent wearing so i sold them.

Aren't camber wear suppose to eat up the side of the tire? I've read people who had no problem with -1 to -2 but I have -3,3 and -4.4 which I think it's really bad. The shop did fix the toe but I'm just curious since the # for the camber alignment was off a bit to high...

I've been rolling with -3.5 for a year and a half and have very even wear on my cheapo walmart tires. I went to get a alignment a few months ago after I changed my inner ties and was told the same thing as you, "Must get a camber kit youll have to buy tires every 6 months" I just told them set the toe to 0 and call it a day.

Don't waste your money on a camber kit. You'll be fine as long as the toe is set correctly. I rode around with -3.xx on Falken Azenis for nearly two years and never had a problem.

your cross camber is a bit to worry about tho. makes me think theres been some accident or something bent or really bad bushings, or all of the above.
