Need Help.........Wiring problem......B18c5 swapped crx si
Heres my dilemma. Im currently installing a c5 into my crx and i have pretty much re-wired the engine harness to run all the sensors on the engine. I re-wired the dizzy and everything. My question is what are the alternator wires? Im using the obd2 alternator that came with the engine.
What is the signal? Where is the control?
The obd2 wiring on the alternator is as follows
White/red= Altf Fr signal
White/green= Altc control
White/blue= VBU (voltage back up)
Black/yellow= Ground

why not just use an obd0 teggy alternator? then you wouldnt have to mess with wiring. or are there any actual differences other than plug?
Funds are in the negative and the engine is just sitting there waiting to get started. The colors on the wires are different. The only one that matches up is the black one.
I was going to wire in my OBD2a GSR alternator when I dropped in my B18C1 but just threw one on from a 95 LS integra, plugged right into the EF harness didn't have to do anything. I couldn't find any info on wiring the new style alternator. I did my distributor, like you also. I searched for days and found nothing. It's a 3 wire to a 4 wire change.
