does plastic header always mean CRX?
I'm trying not to beat this dead horse, please bear with me.. I had my hands on 3 header panels from this body shop, aftermarket panels, box just says 85-87 civic. Nothing else is on the box. He swears they are for a CRX. All 3 of them are PLASTIC header panels. I was told by my Honda dealer that the CRX panels are plastic, the civics are metal, but who knows with aftermarket parts. Also, he has a RH fender, clearly marked 85-87 CRX, but it is certainly metal. Has anyone ever seen a plastic civic header panel, or must this actually fit a CRX? The guy wants 50 bucks for all 4 pieces. Thoughts, please. Mike
for $50 i'd grab them anyway - seriously.
I don't know about aftermarket stuff because I can't get stuff like that here in Australia (import only) but genuine stuff is definitely metal for civic and plastic for CRX - this is both header panel and fenders.

Well, I spent 100 bucks. I now have for a 1g CRX: 3 header panels and 1 RF fender. 3 LF fenders for a 88-91 prelude. 3 RF fenders for a 88-91 CRX, and two bumper reinforcement bars for a 88-91 civic, don't know if they are front or rear. I bought all the Honda stuff he had. Damn, now I have two RF fenders for my CRX, and no LF fenders. Well, my LF fender is intact, but has a crack. Would love to have found one there. All the stuff is aftermarket, but the packaging says ISO9002, so at least it meets some standards. The header fits great! Thanks for the input guys! Mike
