Default front end body swap

OK here it is. I have a 98 Civic coupe. that I baught 7 years ago with 30,000 on it. Sold it to my brother-in-law 2 years ago with 70,000 on it. 2 weeks ago he rear ends some one. So I baught it back for $700 with 80,000 miles. My question is since I have to put a new front end on what do I need to give it a 99' 00' front body. Will fenders, lights, bumper just bolt up. Or do I need other parts. Last question is, is the bumper the only difference. or are the hood, fenders, lights, grille, and core support different from 98 to 99. Thanks Jason.

everything lines up for exception of the bumper.
if you have to change the core support put a 99-00 in and everything will line up with out a problem.

if not you need to cut and drill your bumper mound on the core support which is no big deal at all, i have done it twice and its easy, but its also easy to screw up so be careful.

from 98-99 everything on the front end is different and everything will need to be switched.

He did hit around 30 mph but the car has a 2.5 inch drop and he went under the Buick he hit. So the whole front clip has to be replaced along with a couple motor mounts. And I still need to fix the motor only on 3 cylinders right now. We think its a bad valve so we should have the head off next week.

have you ever done or seen a core support swap in person?? cuz im about to go through this and i want a 99-00 front end so bad but i want to make sure the 99-00 core support lines up correctly without a problem before i go welding things on blindly. or do i just have better luck playing it safe doing the 97 support and cutting the mounds and drilling the holes?

yes i have seen 3 done, helped with 2 and have switched one in my current car,
you can switch the 99-00 core support in with no issues, other then just the normall lineing everything up before its weled in.
its not required to switch the core support as the differences are minimal, personaly i would keep the core support you have now, i personaly have only done 1 99-00 swap keeping the 96-98 core support, and everything went togher fine and the gaps are perfect... however if you want to you can always swap a core support, if you dont want to mod your current one.
the hardest part to this is drill out the spot welds, and re welding the new one in, take your time and you will have 0 problems doing this.

well! i got my CTR radiator support. not much difference but it's championship white ^^ (maybe my engine bay will be white?) but anyways i was wondering since you have done this swap before are there any guides that you can give me in properly cutting the right amount off of my rails and also lining up the support while welding it in? and also do i have to drop my motor if i am to do something this extensive?
