A handle full of people have done it on here. Its not something you want to do if you arent real savy around the engine bay.

Or you could just get the right size ball bearing turbo, or run an intercooled JRSC at around 12 psi. Unless you want a project I wouldnt do it

Search for RMCdaniels' thread. He did it on his EG with a B20Vtec, a turbo and the M62 eaton blower. Clemsonhatch now has that setup, but it has been refined and improved, and I think he's making 441 whp and 337 ft/lbs of torque, and says "no lag".

Another one doing this with a D series is dutchaccord. He's building a rallyraid EG (sedan I think).

because you shouldn't engage nitrous in the low rpm's. With a blower you pretty much don't have any lag. I spoke with Clemsonhatch back in May at the Atlanta Region autox. He says he's close to getting the project done and has a flat tq curve of 330 ft-lbs or so from low rpms to redline. That is just insane.

As per my post, clemsonhatch's setup includes both the M62 blower and a turbo.

You cant just bolt up a jrsc in-line with the turbo plumbing. You have to make a custom intake to bypass the supercharger when under turbo boost. otherwise it would overspin the supercharger and cause more problems then its worth.

Did you find clemsonhatch's setup or Rmcdaniel's???? Those are the only 2 guys I know of that have done it to any success

can you do it- yes....should you do it- no, not if you have to come ask us if it is possible. There is alot more involved than just bolting it on and retuning it....IMO you would benefit more from a different sized turbo and some decent cams, and possibly better suspension to get the power you have now to the ground....anything is possible if you have enough money

turbo lag is is a thing of the past

and read the link i posted its the most ideal since it opens and bypasses the supercharger

Actually you can. I'm just not sure if it's called a compounded or parallel setup. Its the same thing some diesels do, except both are turbos. The SC at 7psi has a PR (pressure ratio) of 1.5, meaning 50% more compression of the air at it's inlet. Low RPM's it would be 7psi (14.5*1.5), then as the turbo spools to say 10psi, you end up with ~22psi (25.5*1.5) after the SC. The problem is the efficiencies stack, meaning a 65% blower and 75% turbo = < 50% overall efficiency.

The main reason Roger used a bypass is because the JRSC creates too much heat w/o an expensive laminova mod to the JRSC. Once bypassed, it's just tumbling air like benign rollers in a manifold's plenum, and only adds a little heat. After the turbo spools, all the air is being cooled via the front-mount (or w2a) intercooler.

From what I've learned, they run the JRSC at a regular psi setting, then compound the boost for a bit (adding a few PSI), then phase out the JRSC completely for higher boost. If you've seen the vids of that setup in motion, you'd crap your pants. Honestly the M90 blower project is probably a better idea overall, but the dualcharge would be nice for a street/strip car. It would act like a powerful & efficient SC on the street, but could make tons of power for the drag strip with GT35 or larger.

this months d-sport issue is pretty crazy.

a 240 w/ a supercharger and turbo setup, and a GTR w/ twin superchargers and twin turbos.

check it out.
