sup every 1 on hai i come to you for some help...my friend has a EH3 shell when he bought it he got it for $150 cuz the rear subframe is broke...i picked up a spot weld cutter for it but my question is will a 92-95 civic sedan rear subframe fit it? also is there a chance the da9 or dc2 subframe might work as a back up incase my friend and i can not find a 92-95 civic hatch or coupe thanks every for looking i appriciate the help

 

Im thinkin it'll fit cause all the stuff off an EH/EG/DC are interchangable.. There are some hatchs at UPAP salvage yard up there tho.

i would hafta say the parts may be interchangable but not the subframes come on guys or they wouldnt have dif body styles lol ?

All civic 92-95, del sol 93-97 and integra 94-01 shares the same style rear subframe. Difference are come come with 10mm nut for swaybar bracket and integra type r have the reinforcement bar thing.

 

Seen it done. You can un spot weld it and put a new one in. There is a tread on H-T guys swapping in the ITR rear sub frame as it is thicker and has the provsions for the D brackets for the ITR rear sway bar.

How did you come to that conclusion? The OP said he picked up a spot weld cutter, to remove the damaged subframe.

 

im sure they are the same, but even if they are different, it cant be by that much.Use your best judgement and do it up mang.

 

That's why I was double checking. Spot Welds are meant specificly not to be welded onto structural parts of a vehicle--like the frame for example. It's extemely dangerous

 

you should phone honda asap then because they have been spot welding them on for years, god only knows how many people are in danger.
